Has anyone ever wondered what those Toads are doing in Browser's castle?
So far, I've come up with three possible reasons. The first is that Browser randomly kidnapped several Toads in order to stall Mario, although I find that both unlikely and dumb. My second guess is that these Toads are the results of past attempts at trying to kidnap Princess Peach, and that Browser has just kept them prisoner even though they are of no use to him. This guess makes sense considering that in Mario The Lost Levels, they're in bags. It's also somewhat funny, since no one ever bothered to rescue them until the real princess was kidnapped. My third and final guess, is that these Toads are next in line for the throne, and that Browser kidnapped them, so that they'll be left without a ruler. I think that last guess is the most plausible in my opinion. Of course, that would mean that Mario only continues looking for Princess Peach so he can obtain a kiss.
