Remember, correlation does not imply causation. Also, everyone I know has never become self-conscious about their weight because of a bunch of toys. Maybe because everyone I know is smart enough to know that those toys have exaggerated features to make them look more like a toy. I mean come on, you realize that most toys are the equivalent of a caricature, right? You wouldn't complain that a chibi has unrealistic proportions! Or that a teddy bear has unrealistic proportions!
