So far I'm rather glad I've been doing this comic. I've learned a lot about what is potentially going on in the game. I must admit, the more I think about it, the more I realize that the robots are just inhabited by ghosts. There are obviously flaws with that theory, but it's the theory with the least flaws. It's the theory I always find myself coming back to. Perhaps the security guard on the phone was also a ghost, and he was silenced by the ghosts inhabiting the robots on the fourth night. Perhaps the ghosts only try to kill you, because it was a security guard that killed them in the first place. It all kind of makes sense.
The last few plot holes can be filled in with this awesome theory I heard from Kaito1412, who said that maybe you live in a world where every job is life threatening, and this is one of the more safer jobs, hence why it doesn't pay much. It does make sense, after all, we don't exactly have robots that can walk about in real life (apparently they used to walk about during the day). Perhaps the game is set in some sort of dystopian future.
As for getting fired for modifying the robots, perhaps it's because it affects them during the day, and makes them either go really fast or really slow (depending on what settings you set them to). As for it affecting the ghosts, maybe the ghosts can't go any faster than the setting of the robot allows. After all, if a ghost possessed a toaster, I doubt that toaster will be able to do anything that a toaster can't reasonably do.

So as you can see, it can all make a lot of sense if you consider the ghosts and dystopian future. But I suppose this is assuming that the creator actually had a lore in mind. There is the chance he just put in everything that he thought was scary. But I'll talk about that in the final part next week. For now, I'll just leave you with this URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeWQEKruUA0&list=UU6sjkvDzyY0J8o7k2Kc5rEw
Which pretty much just sums up how easy it would be to make your job safe, if it is indeed ghosts that is.
(His other videos are pretty awesome too, so I'd recommend checking them out as well.)
