I know there's probably a very good reason for all the aliments your people get on The Oregon Trail, and that people weren't as hygienic back then. But there is absolutely no explanation on how they manage to get broken legs from sitting down all day.
Although I suppose it is a bit of a weird game in places anyway. For example, at one point while I was playing the game, I had an event happen where a fire had started inside the wagon. What was ridiculously stupid though, was that all of the clothes were burnt during the fire.
I don't know why, but apparently everyone must have been naked before the fire started.
Also, even though it's a hard game. It's not too hard. As long as you're very patient, you can pretty much get through the entire game without losing a single person. Just remember not to buy any food, and instead just buy a lot of bullets. And then hunt... a LOT.
Oh, and set the rations to maximum, and the speed to minimum, and to rest for several days whenever someone gets injured.
Eventually you'll learn to detest that hunting minigame, but at least everyone will still be alive.
