*This comic was submitted for the One Year Anniversary, and as such, is a remake of one of my older comics from the pre-website era*
The original comic used to be quite different, but a comment inspired me to change it to something more relatable to myself.
By the way, this is true. I've never actually been able to get past the first island. It's those damn racing missions. The game engine for Grand Theft Auto was not made for racing!
However someone has managed to complete any of the games, is beyond me.
The GTA games I've played so far are: GTA, GTA 2, GTA III, and GTA Liberty City Stories. The most recent one out at the time of writing is GTA V. So maybe that can put a few things into perspective for you.
I've managed to complete Saints Row 2, 3 and 4 though. I'd like to play the first one, one day. Maybe one day.
By the way, when I showed my mother this remake, she was just as shocked as Doug was when she learned there was a storyline in GTA.
I mean, I knew there was a storyline, but she clearly didn't. Probably because all I did was run people over for hours on end, for months at a time.
Sigh, good times.
I did manage to get to San Andreas on GTA 1 though. Although, only by getting people to commit mass suicide on the train tracks.
That was fun! :D
