I never really got why Assassin's Creed is usually called a Stealth Game, when there's next to no stealth in it. As a matter of fact, large portions of the game require you to fight several opponents at once.
It really isn't a stealthy game at all. It's more of a parkour game, than anything else.
They're still rather good games though.
You know, when I first saw Assassin's Creed, back when it first released, me (and everyone else for that matter) pretty much thought they were trying to copy Thief. It was advertised as a Stealth Game, it starred a mysterious guy in a hood, it looked pretty Thiefy. Of course, now I know the gameplay is nothing like Thief, but I still believe it was originally inspired by Thief.
Unfortunately though, Thief 4, basically tried to copy Assassin's Creed, and failed miserably at it.
And to anyone who likes Thief 4. Have you ever played the original Thief games?
Thief 4 isn't that bad of a game, admittedly. But the reason we all hate it, is because it's a total piece of garbage compared to the original Thief games (if it wasn't called Thief at all, we'd probably actually be praising the game).
So for whatever reason if you like Thief 4, then please play the the first two Thief games. And please, don't be judgmental about the graphics or controls, after all, they are old games. Besides, there's mods to fix those parts up.
Also, play the original Deus Ex. Why? Because that game is awesome!
I can't stress that enough. If you've never played Deus Ex, you need to play it.
What's it like? Basically, imagine Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but BETTER!
I mean it. In every way except graphics! (I never really got this obsession with graphics anyway.)
So go... NOW!
