And this right here, is what makes Dwarf Fortress so fun. The complete and utter lunacy of it all!
You can quite literally take credit for a kill you didn't do, and brag about it to the person who did do the killing. Merely because you were somewhere in the vicinity at the time of the killing.
I don't know if you'll still be able to do that in the next version, but who knows. It's still quite funny though.
