This comic has been a long time coming.
Many years ago someone commented about one of my comic strips (I think it was the one about how GTA should make you better at stealing cars), about how they could imagine one of my characters spawning a vehicle in real life using a cheat code.
I then made several comics alluding to this, with Doug's girlfriend claiming to know such a cheat code.
And finally, I made this comic.
So in short, there's a lot of continuity in this webcomic series.
As for what film these two watched. I don't know, Warcraft maybe.
