As everyone knows, a good joke shouldn't have to be explained, but I'm going to explain it anyway.
On Dwarf Fortress, anything under a drawbridge gets destroyed and literally disappears from existence. This has given them the title of Atom Smashers. So if Lord of the Rings took place within the Dwarf Fortress universe, you wouldn't even need to go to Mordor. Just build a bridge and pull the lever!
