I wish I was making this stuff up.
Anyone, especially politicians, that promise "good times", will always remind me of LeChuck's speech on Escape from Monkey Island. So to hear someone actually say it... and for the news to report it as a good thing, is just laughable. It's like waking up one day to find out you're in a comedy.
Quite simply, no one can promise "good times".
They can promise free grog though.
