So you finally get to the outpost, and your little compass thing is telling you that the person you're looking for is to the right. So you start walking. Now it doesn't actually take long to get to Esther (I looked up her name), but it does feel like a long time.
After all that time you spent getting those core fragments, you just want to repair your ship, but for some reason you're being led past the main outpost. So you pass that, and enter some ruins, ok cool. But you're still being led further along. So you go further along, and guess what... there's still nothing in sight. You're actually considering going back, thinking maybe you've made a mistake. But you've gotten this far, and the sunk cost fallacy is going to keep you going. And then you find the person you're looking for! Finally, you're going to get your ship repaired!
You talk to the old lady on the wheelchair, and then she starts babbling on about something. You obviously don't care, you just want to explore the universe! So you press escape... then enter, then the left mouse button, then every single button on your keyboard several times. YOU CAN'T SKIP IT! What makes it worse though, is that after you've read all of the text in the current line of dialog, it stays on the screen for several seconds with no way of speeding it along.
So it's like: read, wait... read, wait... read, wait...
So what I did was just switch to my internet browser, and just browse the internet, checking in on the game to see when the cutscene was finished.
Esther finally shuts up, and what does she do?
Does she fix your ship?
Of course not! She sends you to someone else! But surely that other person will fix your ship, right? RIGHT!?!
