Firstly, Jimmy is clearly harmless. Ok, sure, he'll probably give you brain damage, and he likes kidnapping people. But he's essentially harmless. He's like if Norman Bates simply had a warped and sick sense of humour rather than being a serial killer.
Secondly, why on Earth does the main character decide to roam around the hotel talking to ghosts, rather than leaving and calling the police? Even if the doors are locked, you can still jump out of a window. Or better yet, grab one of the many weapons and see if Jimmy likes to be whacked over the head!
See, this is why horror games make such great fodder for these types of comics. The amount of holes in their logic is absurd.
Still, great game.
Old school scary games/movies made sense when everyone only had landline phones and a storm could knock those out thus preventing the protagonist from just calling the Police.
More modern stuff though, ya why aren't they just getting out their cell phone. Are they trying to convince me that the protagonist doesn't already have that thing glued to their hand 90% of the time?
Exactly.
I think the usual excuse is that there's no signal there, because it's in the middle of nowhere. But still. I don't think this game even tried that.
