Ah Game Theory. Not so long ago they made a theory about how there could be an ecosystem in the Nether, and came to the conclusion that it was due to souls (you know, rather than the more obvious answer of the heat generated by the lava). In it, they said that the vines there have red leaves, so they must be a mushroom, because they would need to be green if they were a plant because of chlorophyll. Anyway, long story short, I always thought that there was this tree outside my house that had red leaves, but it turns out it was just a ten foot mushroom. Thanks Game Theory!
(Apparently not only have they never heard of thermal energy, but they've never heard of anthocyanins either. Still entertaining to watch though.)
