This is the final part to this short story arc, and if you couldn't guess, this was all an elaborate attempt to replace the Tails Doll with a none-copyright infringing character. If you were expecting more, I'm sorry. I've seen what happens when a gag-a-day style comic oversteps it's boundaries and tries to make an extremely long story arc with lots of depth. Apparently it generates a lot of hatemail, but clearly I don't have a big enough fanbase for such a thing. None the less, I believe it would have been terrible, but I guess if I ever got the urge I would do it anyway.
Still, I'm sorry if you were expecting Steve and Doug to fight hundreds of Deadites. Maybe next time. In the meanwhile though, I've got some very funny comics lined up for you in the coming weeks, so keep a look out.
