I actually knew someone like this. It was quite annoying how he kept asking everyone about what they thought about the news, despite him knowing full-well that only he watched the news in a morning. I know he just wanted to talk about the morning news, but why do you have to phrase it in such a question when you already know the answer?

In the first panel, Doug is actually on Excel doing work for once in his life.
On the second panel he's on Leisure Suit Larry.
On the third panel he's on that Pacman Google Doodle.

I'll never understand people who always want to keep on top of the daily news. I mean, who cares what's happening to people you'll never meet, especially when it's happening halfway across the world. Unless it'll affect me directly in the near future, or it's an insightful piece of knowledge that will expand my understanding of the world around me, I don't need to know it, and I certainly don't want to know it.

I think that's the main reason why I generally consider myself to be living under a rock. Although recently, that seems to only mean that I'm out of the loop of what this month's controversy is. Considering how often people seem to forgive and forget, and they always seem to be picking and choosing what to be angry about, completely at random, I think I'm better off being beneath this gigantic rock I've setup home under. (This company doing bad things is ok, but this company doing bad things in the exact same way requires outrage.)

(For the record, I'm usually in agreement with these controversies when I find out about them. I just disagree with how inconsistent and hypocritical they usually end up being.)

Also, after nearly ten years, I've finally updated the "Extras" page on the website.
