Sure, one of them said something that seems to imply that they were in a relationship. But at the same time, that character could've said that exact same thing at any point in the series and it still would've made sense, despite them not being in a relationship. Because guess what... they're friends who live in the same town! Just like most of the other characters in the show!
I mean, I've got nothing wrong with those two being in a romantic relationship. But why is it considered as though it's obviously canon, when all they did was enter a room together?
