No I don't hate Superman. I actually rather like Superman. Although he hasn't ever had any great films, he has had at least two great TV Shows (although Smallville went on for a little too long).
But I honestly can't be the only one who thought that the last Superman film was kind of... boring, and crappy. Not incredibly crap, just lackluster, and mediocre. And this next film is looking to be much the same.
Maybe it's just me, but I think they've just included Batman, because they know Batman has had several great films, but that Superman hasn't. So if they make a Batman film, but called it Superman, then Superman will finally have a great film!
It's a dumb plan, but it could work.
I suppose we'll have to wait and see. Here's hoping it turns out to actually be a good film (unlike the last one).
Also, as for Ben Affleck being cast as Batman. I want you to think about this for a moment. The guy is a perfect Bruce Wayne. I can quite easily see him being Bruce Wayne. It's just the Batman part I can't get my head around. He isn't quite tough enough to be a Batman.
It must be pretty damn hard to find the perfect person, to be both the charming Bruce Wayne, and the tough Batman.
But we'll see. Hopefully Ben gets himself ripped for this film.
One last thing. This comic is just supposed to be a joke. The part about the Superman film, was only added due to me not being able to think about thing else quite as stupid yet realistic. Well, except for family photos on Facebook.
In other words, I didn't make this comic to complain about things. I actually make very few comics to complain about things. I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that. Because recently I've realized that one of the Webcomics I read, just seems to be making Webcomics to complain about things, rather than to make actual jokes.
None the less, if this new Superman film turns out to be really good. I'll have to make a follow-up comic.
