Remember when I said I was going to make a Comic Strip based on Assassin's Creed 4? Well, here it is!
Also, I know that Edward Kenway is supposed to be Welsh, but damn, the guy sounds Yorkshire to me. Which in my opinion, is a true British accent (not like that Shaun Hastings, who sounds like a total idiot).
Also, this particular comic strip is making fun of how ship damage is shown on Assassin's Creed. And how simply ramming an enemy vessel, can damage their sails, practically making them disintegrate. But I have a fan theory for why this happens. It's not because of the limitations of the Animus, but because Edward Kenway was completely and utterly insane. You've got to remember, you're seeing everything from Edward's memories. Whose to say that Edward doesn't remember things completely different to how they actually happened? He might have been a drunken schizophrenic for all we know!
We all know at one person who remember an event completely different to us, and who's to say that this isn't true for Edward? Maybe there's much more logical reasons for everything? Maybe Edward convinced himself that it was Charles Vane that turned on him, while in reality it was the other way around!
Remember, memories can be both subjective and bias.
We'll never truly know what happened in Edward Kenway's life without looking at the memories of the people he interacted with.
